*Lyocell is a cellulose fiber from eucalyptus and other fast-growing trees, which need only 5% of the water needed for cotton cultivation. Tencel or lyocell uses chemicals that are less toxic and these are recycled during the production process so there’s minimal waste. The fiber is biodegradable and thus compostable.
